The Marais has gorgeous museums:Musee Picasso, Beaubourg, Musee Sevigne and the Archives Nationales and is filled with restaurants, bars and cafes.
The apartment itself is located halfway between the Picasso museum and the Hotel de Ville, just two minutes away from Place des Vosges. It is within 5-7 minutes walking distance from three grocery shopping streets: rue Rambuteau, rue de Bretagne and rue St. Antoine.
Multiplex cinemas in Bastille and Les Halles are within ten minutes walk and cinema art houses can be found just across the Seine.
